A ship lost nearly a century
ago amidst a storm in the curious and wrathful waters of the Bermuda Triangle
resurfaces near the coast of Florida – The S.S Cotopaxi. While planes and ships
that went in the Devil’s Triangle never came out, this bold piece of metal was
simply spotted by Michael Barnette (an accomplished diver, author, photographer
and founder of the Association of Underwater Explorers) while diving ten years
ago, in 2010. But his claims of spotting the very legendary S.S Cotopaxi were
not believed by many, though his tales gained immense popularity on various
social platforms. After years of thorough research and investigation, it was
confirmed by Michael Barnette that it was true – the S.S Cotopaxi had
unbelievably made a comeback.
The S.S Cotopaxi was a real
coal ship that went missing on November 29, 1925 while traveling from
Charleston to Havana with 3,800 tons of coal and 32 passengers. The
disappearance contributed to the enduring myth of the Bermuda Triangle—the
section of the Atlantic Ocean between Bermuda, Florida, and Puerto Rico blamed
for dozens of disappearances.
What is the hidden message in the sudden and surprising appearance of the S.S Cotopaxi after 95 years? Why are there no remains of people on the ship? Why was this the only ship to come out of the Bermuda Triangle? - these questions are still discombobulating many. I am indubitably flabbergasted by the uniqueness of this mystery – it is an enigma even science failed to answer.
